My new program, Busy Women Veg Out, is an effective way to transition your way to optimal health with so much taste and support you will never believe what you've done and how easy it was! A large majority of heart disease, high cholesterol, type II diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity is either due to or made worse by consuming animal products. Dr. Neal Barnard, who was one of my teachers and a primary resource for my new health coaching program, explains the realities and dispels some of the myths around a whole plant food diet on. He mentions 2 key points that I communicate with my clients and in my talks. The first is around protein and calcium and where would we get it if we are not eating meat and consuming dairy. He uses the same analogy I use in my talks which is that COWS ARE VEGAN! They get calcium and protein from plant foods. The other is that because many of us have eaten meat for so long, that is how our taste buds are "trained". However, just like anything else, we can retrain them to like - even love other foods that we consume in place of them. I've had more than one client say to me they don't think it will happen and then later confess that in fact, they actually do like some of the things they never expected to. If you are interested in eliminating cholesterol from your diet and at the same time increasing energy, shedding unwanted weight and improving mood, think about incorporating a whole plant food diet.
